Accessing our Penguin Viewing Platform

A 4-minute walk from the Royal Albatross Centre down to our viewing platform. The walk involves a moderately steep gravel path before joining a boardwalk that has over 60 steps in built into it.

The Platform is open during the day, but no penguins can be seen then. During the day the birds are out at sea feeding returning to land as night approaches.

The reserve and platform are closed at night (and are only accessible on our guided tour) to help protect the wildlife.
